Thanks for the input, Archer. Always good to hear from the forum expert.

The watch in the video is actually the second one (pls see my OP) that has suffered the same stoppage as the first one a year ago. It was fully wound when it occurred the next day after date of purchase from an Omega Boutique.

As for the main sec and hour hands, I can definitely say that they were in various positions in all instances of stoppage for both watches, so I don’t think there’s any physical interference between the hands.

The SC has the watch right now and I’m paying them a visit tomorrow for an update. If I’m not satisfied I’ll ask for a full replacement or refund.

As I mentioned previously, it also occurred while I was totally unplugged.

The problem is something inside got magnetized and is causing a bind.

It’s something that happens then does not go away until demagnetized.

If that is what it is.

Does this happen with the moonwatch only?

Have you tried with other watches?

QUICK UPDATE:

I received a brand new replacement for the watch a couple of weeks ago.

It's been working well so far.

Third time's the charm? Hope so.

Thanks for all the comments. Have a good day, everyone!

Sounds more like you’re not sure the moonwatch is for you. Maybe something more robust is right for you. How about a PO? Heavier metal!
