Camera ready, batteries fully charged, tripod & warm jacket ready, what will I find?

First look outside 45min after sunset, if no aurora visible there might be some noctilucent cloud,

nope, but I try some hand-held on the new moon anyway,


I had no idea it was possible to catch the moon's craters like this. That's a tribute to Panasonic's image stabilisation, hand-held at 150mm focal length. Camera focused entirely by itself with no manual tweaking.
