Hi All,

I looked but didn't see a thread on this yet. Apologies in advance if I missed it.

A recent episode of Pawn Stars Do America very briefly mentioned and showed a World War I Omega trench watch. I know they aren't watch experts but they stated that the value was approximately $300 or they would only pay $300 can't remember which. If they offered $300 they would probably sell for $600. They didn't show a good close up of the face but it looked super clean or it was a redial. Cory seemed super uninterested in it. Either way that price seemed super low.

-What do they those usually go for?
-What was everyone else's thoughts on the brief appearance?

I didn’t see the show, but assuming the watch case was not solid gold, the price seems fair.

The dial was likely enamel, so not surprised to read that it was clean and white, although cracks and chips are common.

IMO, unless it has a military provenance, $1,000 is top retail for a watch like that. The watch is probably going to need a cleaning at some point, so ultimate price needs to account for that.

Hope this helps,

It was a wasn't gold. Many were silver so I assume (always dangerous) that one was too. If I found one for $300 I would scoop it up in a second and consider myself fortunate. Maybe I'm going to have to do more research and try to get one of these. Any suggestions on where to start learning about these models?
