Omega warranty card question

Interesting... I was able to order a replacement pictogram and warranty card through a boutique last year - it came from Switzerland and was £120 for the two cards together.

Would I be correct in assuming that the replacement warranty card was undated, or did you supply an incontrovertible proof of original purchase that could be used to give a date for the start of the warranty period?

100% correct that it's undated - Omega staff were very clear that the warranty was long expired, that the expiry date was logged, and that should I try to make a warranty claim by adding a date... I'd be politely told where to go 😉

Not in my case. My replacement card was already dated, by hand, with the rest of the info printed. I must say I have pondered what the date represents: did someone look up the watch's date of manufacture or supply to the selling dealer. Or did they have a record of the sale date or did they just plain guess. The date on the card does correspond pretty well with how old I would suppose the watch to be. Bearing in mind that a replacement card costs the same or more than an extract at around £100 perhaps at Swatch hq they have quick access to the relevant date info and saw fit to complete that field. I think I asked for it to be dated originally so perhaps they obliged out of a willingness to help.

I would pass, too much of a headache if you change your mind on it, not to mention it is a bit of a red flag. I would move on without asking, anyone can tell you a story and unless you know the seller and trust them who cares what they respond with.
