Hi all first post here as am new to the vintage Omega world (more accustomed to vintage Seiko). I've been offered the below piece but the seller won't open the caseback. I was hoping somebody would be able to help identify the watch based on the provided photos so I can conduct some further research. TIA!

Well, as a collector you’ll be familiar with the drill - 'you pays your money and you take your chances', but it looks okay as does the bracelet.

It looks like a 50s/60s 14***.

So the key questions for me would be 1) does it run (well or at all)? 2) the price the seller is asking.

Did these dials often come without minute hashes?

Quite right. I missed that.

I would take a closer look at that bracelet as the head links don't have numbers. It could be a put together like the sort of bracelets we run across on dealers' Omega offerings in the Philippines. Many lesser Swiss brands during that period used similar BOR bracelets with unmarked head links.

It was a real question; didn’t mean to imply you had overlooked anything.

But I did. I must stop relying on my iPhone screen

Mine has minute hashes. Made me look. One of the few gold color watches I really like.

The absence of minute markers is unusual but the overall finish is consistent with other dials I have seen without minute markers, especially on diamond dials of the reference LL 6590-1:

All in all, minute markers can be a red flag, but not necessarily a proof that this is a redial. Fonts look correct to me. Maybe try to get an exact reference number and search for other examples without minute markers.

Ref 14774 I think.

Not a great photo to work with but the fonts seem off and the spacing/placement of the SWISS MADE.

Thanks all I didn't think of the minute markers or bracelet points. I just assumed the watch wasn't a redial as didn't think people would bother to redial and sign Turler. Given the seller wouldn't open the caseback to provide the reference I have decided to pass. From the same seller I did come away with a different Omega though 😜 (one that I hadn't initially considered). A bit spontaneous but happy with it, sorry not the best picture.
