Dear folks, I collect watches for a while, but they are all generally modern pieces. I could say I'm so lack of knowledge for the vintage one. And I've been recently attracted by a vintage Seamaster 300, just not sure it's genuine or counterfeit. Would be more than happy to hear from experts. Thanks in advanced. Best regards, Charles
Thanks for the help. I see there are two types of bezel for Seamaster 300, but except for that, is there any difference?
Actually there are 5 different types of bezels for 2. Generation sm300 ( ref. 165.024 and 166.024). Yours is one of the 2 early ones and correct for a '64 reference. Besides that, dial with or without big triangle at 12, with or without date, cal. 550, 552, 563 and 565. 2-3 different hand-sets, crystal ring black or steel, caseback with or without "bend", naiad or screwdown crown, miltary versions with fixed bars, T marking and id on caseback etc etc etc
