Hi everyone, I came across this interesting Omega vintage that I would like to buy. Potentially it is the reference 2757-7SC, according to the seller's description.

Do you think it’s genuine? In your opinion, are the components original or at least period-correct? Any idea of a fair price range for buying it?

Thanks a lot for your support with this purchase!

I think it's a poorly redialed and overpolished specimen, with a fake or anyway wrong buckle.
So, I would run away from it.

Thanks, why do you think it is overpolished? Btw I agree with you that the buckle is clearly not an original one, indeed

Besides the redial. Gold hands are badly faded in color and dial missing date ring. 10:00 index. Can’t tell if replaced with silver one, worn or bad image.

Good points. Proper crown, clean movement and no case corrosion

I would pass

As noted above. Poorly repainted dial and case over polished on a buffing wheel.

Thanks, I found out an original picture of this watch and it seems that the missing date ring is coherent with the model

Ok, the most frustrating thing for me is that the Omega logo seems slightly rotated 😅

The thing that jumps out at me immediately is the texture of the dial and the lume. The fonts are wrong too, but that's obviously more subtle.

Another consequence of the redial: the logo was removed and then reattached crooked.
