Really wish I got one! Such an incredible (and historically important) trilogy set of watches. I'm jealous.

 

They are really beautiful watches and I'd love to have picked one up (the Railmaster).

But I don't get the fuss over being historically significant, they're replicas of historic watches yes, but still just modern watches made to look old. Hell they might as well be quartz for all the actually history under the hood.

Now if someone shows me a collection of nice 1950s watches, perhaps including these three, now that is impressive.

The crazy part is that these will increase in value as if they were real 1950s watches.

 

It's about as good as it gets though when it comes to heritage remakes, and the heritage is there, though the technology has moved forward.

If I had a spare 20k kicking around, I'd certainly consider it... though I would probably get each stand alone one because they dont have the extra and unnecessary text on the dial.

 

Totally agree about the extra text. My local AD pulls out the Railmaster and the SM300 every time I visit trying to tempt me. Shame he doesn’t have the Speedy....

 

All of these, including the Speedmaster are readily available for sale. Just not from OB

 

The last OB I visited had the Railmaster and Seamaster ready to go

 

There must be some members here who actually got the box set?
