·Good afternoon, for sale a very scarce Omega Rectangular model T 17 from 1935. Is very hard to find in original conditions, varnish and painting from 82 years ago was made without high technology or the best fixation materials, so most of the Art Deco dials gone with the years, survive in very bad conditions or are redials.
Original dial, case, crown, movement and crystal, after a complete service, my watchmaker found that the wear of the movement is minimal, indicating that this watch spent many years stored in some desk drawer,( wheels, balance, escape , fork, hair spring are like new) even the crown is the original that was used in these models, Omega did not sign their crowns in those years.
The stainless steel case has not been manipulate, no polish, some surface used marks, but not cracks or dents, closes tightly and have all his angles, measure 22,5 mm wide excluding winding crown and 39 mm lug to lug, perfect for a unisex watch in this days. Blue steel original hands in very good condition, the dial has aging but still have the golden paint line around the dial, amazing conditions of brand, logo and numerals.
There is an inscription on the up side of the dial at 12, ( Surete) according some experts, could be a way of the watch was made, for more info, please take a look to this link: https://omegaforums.net/threads/surete-inscription.61267/
Full service performed few weeks ago, the watch keeps time with accuracy and tic with a very regular strong running. The watch come with original leather Lizard leather strap and original Omega stainless steel vintage buckle.
