This is the identical watch that fetched $5100 last April 2011 on Ebay has now switched hands again for $7000.

Legit sale as positive feedback has been left for the seller by the HK based buyer. It is also not a particularly nice example as the dial is poorly refinished, the case is polished and the movement has clear signs of age but is running properly.
There has been some debate about this model recently rekindled by an article of Desmond regarding several issues about this watch including number sold and thus available as well as valuation but as is often the case, the market dictates and while this is just one data point, it seems this watch is going up in value.

No lol just a dealer that caused a big thread, he sold like 12 gold constellation pie-pans in a short period of time and a few of them were sold to members here.

And most of these connies had deluxe gold dials too - he likely sourced these from a collector possibly including the synchrobeat. It also looks like many of these connies went to a buyer in Thailand based on some of the feedback rendered.
But going back to the synchrobeat - an original dial one with polished case sold at Sothebys in the December 16, 2010 auction for ~$12,000 USD
And of course there is that unrealistic price at the omegamania auction for a refinished dial example that went for 36,500 CHF
