Is it only the original crystal that got the symbol? Or is it on replacements as well?

I believe genuine Omega replacements have the symbol.

@Callaway the symbol on your glass is the original from 60s. The service symbol is the modern one. You can see the difference between the vintage omega talks and the new omega threads in the home

So an original glass sounds great?! Should I still polish it?

I recommend to polish it with Polywatch. You can find easily on eBay or amazon. It’s cheap and with a good result. there are several threads about his working

That symbol is on the inside not outside so polishing the outside will not touch the symbol, unless you go too far!😁

Looks original to be, a simple round with Polywatch and you are good to go. But protect the area outside of the crystal, so you don’t accidentally polish the bezel or other parts of the watch.

Be careful with the bezel (if it’s original) as it breaks very easily, so no heavy glues or no glue at all on the masking tape either.

There’s no such thing as “oiled”. For you to be able to use it, you need to service it. 😀
