For sale is an Omega Suverän ref 2400 sold only to the Swedish market during ww2, its a well built robust 35.5mm large steel case which makes it quite big for its time. The caseback is signed with "antimagnetisk-vattentät-stötskyddad" meaning "antimagnetic-waterproof-shockprotected" in Swedish.

This has an uncommon grey dial with black contrasting railroad track with beautiful puffy aged lume.
As most grey dialed Suverän the surface have turn a bit to the tropical but is evenly through the dial, also the black railroad is very crisp and have almost not aged at all. One interesting proof on how different dial colors and manufacturing processess reacts different to age.

Case is thick and have lots of steel left but is a bit soft in the edges, either due to wear or a bit polish during its 80 year life.

30T2 PC movement which is running strong and keeping time but have no known service history. The crown is an replacement since it has a slight different profile than the original which also should not be signed.

The dial is lively and changes quite a bit in different lights so I have tried to show it in various conditions 😀

Price: 850EUR head only net to me. I’m located in Sweden.

Nice example, and what I would characterize as very attractive patina.

GLWTS!
