Hi fellas!

Have anyone tried this one out or have any recommendations for another omega-style one?

Wanting to fit it to a Hirsch Robby on my 2254.50.

I wouldn't even consider anything from someone who can't even spell it correctly, it's deployant, not deployment.

That (or any Omega or Omega-style deployant) won’t fit a Hirsch Robby strap, because the ends are too thick. Omega deployant straps are only 2 mm thick at the end in order to slip through the guides on the deployant and be secure.

I wouldn't even consider anything from someone who can't even spell it correctly, it's deployant, not deployment.

Although 'deployant' is the correct word there is a long history of English speaking people using 'deployment'. I wouldn't rule it out because of that. If it's of reasonable quality they can call it anything they want.

Depends on the strap but usually it’s an option from Hirsch.
I was pointed to RHD in another thread and really like their deployant, wearing mine with my 2254.50 as we speak. It will work with any traditional strap, I’ve used it with my Hirsch Mariner strap also. http://www.mywatchmaker.net/deployantclasp.htm

I'm not a huge fan of the butterfly style but I noticed on the Hirsch website that all the deployant style strap also had an included folding clasp. Maybe theres another section I'm missing that only has the straps and no clasp.

The Hirsch clasp is also butterfly style. With a strap that has loops, like the OPs Hirsch Robby, it’s the style that looks right in the end. Using the Omega style bifold you will end up with an empty strap loop with nothing to tuck into it. Not the best pics but may help clarify a bit, and no loops on an Omega strap with deployant.

Some Omega clasps are specifically designed to fit thicker 2.7mm strap ends. The one for the Snoopy sailcloth strap is such. I have one, model 94521883. I think in reality there is some leeway on all of them, but I agree I wouldn’t personally use a std strap on one, the length would be all wrong too.
