A friend bought an Omega diving watch and it came with this strap. Any opinions on its origins?

 

What does the back of the buckle look like? I see no markings on the strap so it could be an aftermarket that someone put an Omega buckle on. Or, it may not be a real Omega buckle. I often put the original buckle on whatever strap I'm wearing.

 

I have to agree. That strap makes my gut go aftermarket.

 

I agree, generic strap with Omega buckle... which I also do.

Agree with the comments above that it’s aftermarket, unique design I haven’t seen in a rally-like strap

 

What's strange is that it almost looks like the leather version of a rubber Tropic dive strap.
