There has never been a 37.5mm version of the Seamaster Professional/Diver 300M. You may mean the 36.25mm "Mid-size" version of the Seamaster Diver 300m/Professional that was produced up to around 2012. There was also a 28mm version specifically designated as a "ladies" version too. I am told that Omega is likely to introduce a "mid-size" Diver 300M soon.
I was more referring to the fact the last mid-size diver in the catalog which was the Planet Ocean 37.5mm, it continued long after the 36.25mm Seamaster Pro 300m was discontinued and used a Cal 8520 rather than the 2500 used in the 36.25. The 300M did get enlarged to 42mm and 43.5mm when it moved to Cal 88xx so I’d expected another 37.5mm to happen but now the smallest is the 39.5mm Planet Ocean.

What you said was:

"In all previous Seamaster Pro generations, Omega had a 37.5 mm unisex mid-size model, suitable for both women and men with slim wrists, powered by either quartz or an automatic movement."

The term "Seamaster Pro" is generally taken to mean the Seamaster Professional/ Diver 300M not the Planet Ocean, which although it has the word "Professional" written on the dial (as do the PloProf and the Ultra Deep), is never referred to as the "Seamaster Pro". There has never been a quartz powered Planet Ocean either so the statement as written definitely refers to the Seamaster Professional/Diver 300M range. The fact that you use the word "all" to describe previous Seamaster Pro generations again confirms that the watch being referred to is the Seamaster Professional/Diver 300M range because there have never been "mid-size" versions of the PloProf or the Ultra Deep which are also technically "Seamaster Pro" as they have the word "Professional" on the dial. It might be better to simply change the "37.5mm" to "36.25mm and 28mm".

I’ve updated it to say 36.25mm or 37.5mm now in order to cover both of the mid sizes

If you really want to be pedantic, and let's face it all WIS are to a certain degree, the Pre Bond quartz, available in 36mm and 40mm had Seamaster Professional on the dial. Your other points stand though I am sure. See what Omega do to us with their haphazard naming conventions.

Nice way to join the forum btw, go straight for the jugular of one of the mods and most respected contributors 😉 I await your your future contributions with much popcorn. 🍿

Yeah but what have the Romans ever done for us?

I am giving the benefit of the doubt in that it doesn’t in fact mean small profit quick return in which case I might have been less polite…

I don’t know anything about any of these watches, but anything above 36.5 is beyond midsize IMHO ::stirthepot::😝

Well Syrte, that'll open up the discussion a little.

I'm in your camp. I even have an 8-inch wrist and I think mid-size ends at 37mm. After that they become "jumbo" in the vintage watch world.

If we are being pedantic, and you are, the word "Professional" appeared on the dials of many Seamaster prior to the "Pre-Bond", for example the original PloProf 600M, but they are not pertinent to the article or the comment. The article is clearly about the "Seamaster Pro", which is the Seamaster Diver 300M, the watch you are referring to is called the "Pre-Bond" for a reason but in any event did not come in a 37.5mm size.

@dsio FYI, I'm seeing ads in the story even though I'm a subscriber.
Give it a go now, as long as you’re signed in to OF, you should see no ads on stories now
