Don't forget..as desirable and awesome a watch can be, people with thousands of $€£¥ burning a hole in their pockets aren't that plentiful. Timing is key, as said in this thread. This kind of cash is difficult to come by for the common man with a passion for expensive toys. Even if the price is attractive, as with this watch.
