    Hi,

I am new to Omega, decided to try on a Speedy Pro at an AD today, I brought my biggest watch the IWC 3717 as a reference coz I am reluctant to go any bigger. I must say I am pleasantly surprised with the Speedy, I am hooked!

Then again, I am not sure how a Speedy should look on a wrist so I defer to you guys.

What do U think of the size? The watch is still wrapped in plastic and I am pulling the watch taut with my right hand but it should be a good approximation I think.

    Many thanks!

Size and proportions look great. Seems to fit very nicely.

Thanks or the comments so far! I think it is pretty OK, it is certainly not small but it is suppose to be legible tool watch after all. Am I over-rationalizing?

Seems you think it is a bit too big.

My wrist is 6.25' so it looks a bit on the bigger side for me as well. But I found it wear larger on the bracelet due to the extended center endlink, and will fit me much better with leather straps, speaking of which the Speedy is really THE strap monster on earth. So I feel very comfortable wearing it.

Looks fine on you!, so...that is certainly a thought, I found the bracelet not too bad, there is a bit of curve to it to I can feel the hug. Anyways, this is my biggest watch, an IWC 3717, which is is a true 42 mm (no crown protectors) and it also has a slightly larger lug to lug, so however you cut it, it is a larger watch vs the Speedy Pro and I think it looks fine. Also this one is actually on my wrist instead of a simulation so I cannot imagine the Speedy Pro looking bigger than this. BTW, I am blown away by how balanced the Speedy feels, not too tall, it probably feels less tall than it is I coz I think the movement is pretty thin so CG is pretty low. I am beginning to see what the fuss is about!

Yes, you are. It's a watch, you either like it or not. Just make your decision and move on.

I'm a 6.25" wrist, and love my Speedy on a strap - it does look a bit bigger on bracelet which is why I've stayed away.

Looks perfect to me. And usually the watch sits bit closer to the hand covering the wristbone given that your bracelet isn't adjusted too tight. Would end up in gaining some additional width.

    I have a 17,5 cm wrist but don’t know what it is in inches :) - now I know, it's 6,88"

I found that you can go with a vintage bracelet like 1171 so that the center part of the endlinks doesn't "stick out" as much.
