Looking to see what you guys think. its 145.022-69. Serial 29m. Think its suppose to have a DON? dial ok? Also what would you pay, seller has offered it for $2500 USD.
Yes, it should have a DoN bezel but these are frequently replaced, I think I would prefer to see a look at the movement and better pics of the dial and case before I paid US$2,500. Though if these are good this is the correct price range in my humble, maybe a little over seeing as it is head only. If you take a look at our sales forum you will see current and past sales which will give you a good idea of pricing
The dial may be ok the hands may be new, and the serial is in the right time frame. i guess from looking at the pushers that it is a while since service. From these photos that's all I can say. I would need proper photos to comment beyond this. I would need to see inside, the case back and movement, and an uncluttered in-focus head on shot of the dial. i am especially looking for the colour of the dial and plots, and to make sure of the state of the movement.
And in my opinion the DN90 bezel is correct for this year, but makes the watch worth less than if had the DO90.
The movement pic looks different just noticed that the case back photo up top you can see the teeth of the lower pusher. This one I cant see any but could be angle. And yes no strap and currently asking for last service info.
I want to see a focused shot of movement and dial. that movement shot doesn't show anything. I really don't know why people are so precious about serials at this level.
29 mios should be DON bezel. FYI, the main criteria by which we distinguished the bezel was not the 90 dot, but the 70, because 90 does not distinguish later bezels. DON was called 'Dot Diagonal 70' which can be called DD70.
Yes, my 29mill '69 has a DON bezel. So it may be that this one has been replaced. Like all things from this period though, can we be absolutely certain when the change occurred?
My 30mill '69 came with the dot next to the 70 bezel, which is the same as the one in the above pictures. I believe this was also available in '69?
Seller got back to me. He said those are the only photos he will show..... and watch has not been serviced in long time. What are your guys thoughts on a price. I would prefer a DON but I could live with this as long as its at a fair price. Also thanks everyone.
