    Most likely a manufacturer flaw combined with extreme heat and UV exposure. Possibly some jalapeño sauce too.

    The disintegrating dial may look interesting but those particles will wreak havoc if they reach the movement.

    I wonder if someone could airbrush lacquer onto the crackle dial to solidify the paint flakes...
    That would preserve the mosaic "spider dial" effect while also allowing the watch to be wearable.

    Watch is being serviced at the moment by my watchmaker.

    My watchmaker also as that opinion, excess of UV exposure, and probably some acid from battery.
