Omega speedmaster with white dial

For arguments sake, I buy a brand new speedy pro, I then purchase a genuine Mitsukoshi white dial sealed in the package with all the factory information on the lid and also a set of silver hands to go with the dial (also factory and unopened)

Few years go by and I decide to have the watch serviced. Can I bring this watch to my AD with the parts still sealed and say I'd like these parts installed at the time of service? Or am I stuck going to a non authorized watch maker to do the job (swap dials/hands) and service the watch?

Omega will not put parts on a specific watch that aren’t original to that watch, so they won’t put a white LE dial and the hands on a regular Speedmaster as you use in your example.

If you get another watchmaker to do this for you, and you send the modified watch to Omega for service some time in the future, they will convert it back to the original configuration and charge you for the parts required to do so, or they will refuse the service and return the watch to you if you don’t agree to have it converted back.

Omega does not condone modified watches the way that many people on forums have their watches modded, but under some specific circumstances they will allow a watch to be fully converted from one model to another, but not using LE parts, and no mixing of parts from several models is allowed.

Cheers, Al

Here's my 3810.20. The Reduced Speedy's regularly overshadowed by its big brother, the Speedy Pro, but for me, my white reduced speedy is a keeper.

Now that's one clean looking Speedy. Very cool!

Here's a picture I found of a white dial Speedy racing and a ceramic Daytona with white face.
That Speedy looks like giant compared to Daytona

And of course, let's not forget the super popular White Side of the Moon 😉

White dials often look like plastic. The dial of the Daytona looks a little bit like porcelain. That is a nice white.

Someone posted on instInsta that he got back his mitsukoshi mod watch from service from Omega . Omega didn't change the dial back to original.

It's certainly possible that someone didn't check the serial number when the watch came in, but that is not following Omega's procedures. I would say they got very lucky if this was an actual Omega service center that did the work...

Albino is pretty decent, but can get pricey since it’s a limited number

We don't have an Albino image in this thread yet. As others have mentioned, the dial colour is better described as cream.

I just love these ones particularly...500 only is a proper limited edition.

I really wish i owned a Snoopy. I love the look of that watch!
Same here! It's one of my most favorite watches. I'll happily take one of the ones in the pictures shared though. 😜
