I felt the same way when looking at it, I never really thought the Tiffany premium was justifiable in the first place but especially when its almost impossible to verify and extremely easy to duplicate.
same.... initially not convince me the ugly font but now I start to think that it is good.. Spacefruit can you show your?
I was in for a while but the case and caseback suffered from corrosion and would take another chunk of change to get it back in good order. To me having Meister or Tiffany only adds some value but overall not the premium one would see
I have a Baume&Mercier with the Tiffany stamp. does not add any value to it. In fact I think it takes some value away...

This is a very rare piece. I haven't seen many. It may be legitimate. If you look at the under of the lug there is some type of Tiffany engraving synonymous with Rolex Tiffany vintage subs.
It also seems that a Tiffany speedy is worth maybe double of a non Tiffany. This auction ended for $6k+.
Would it be the same for a Turler or Meister signed Speedmaster? Or is there something that makes Tiffany more valuable than the others?
Badge engineering at its finest.............the horological equivalent of a Saab 9-7? (The General (Motors) would be so proud!)
Or the 9-2 Saabaru! I owned 5 Saabs before the company finally went belly-up after the General sucked the life out of them. The ultimate sleeper cars. Fast, safe and reliable. Thanks for nothing, GM. gatorcpa FWIW - I think all of those "western" logo Tiffany watches are legit, but they are not worth anything extra in my eyes. They are no different than any other watch. They are not like the very rare Hamilton Tiffany's from the 1930's that came in Tiffany made 18K gold cases not available from other retailers.
I wasn't going to mention the 9-2. At least that was based on a firecracker of a hot rod (Impreza WRX). NOT a saab, but a chance to buy a fully pimped WRX used for less than a used WRX (because used Saab values tank). The 9-7 was just a plain and simple pos. On my third and sadly last Saab (unless I buy a vintage).
Interesting Tiffany Speedy. I'm not surprised by the interest in this piece, but I am surprised it went for as high as $6k+ given the condition. Coincidentally, I just met a nice guy in San Diego with an early '69 Meister Speedy, all original (applied logo dial, DON flawless bezel). It was in excellent overall condition and I told him I thought it was worth $4500 and possibly as high as $6k... looks like I was a bit too conservative. I'll email him now and pester him to join the forum and share that piece with us here.
