I know there are no question marks on the end of that sentence, but I'll answer anyway.

    Yes, yes it is!

I must be a bit Speedy Tuesday bipolar.

I've seen a good few wrist shots where I've felt kind of luke warm over the looks, then I see a picture like this and I'm completely smitten all over again. Can't wait to properly find out by receiving it and trying it on my own wrist. Please be in the first batch... please be in the first batch... plea... so on and so forth

Having been able to get hands on with one of the pre production samples this evening - those of you with deliveries inbound have something special. Truth be told, I'm a little gutted at having my sensible hat on when the watch hit the website, spending too long considering whether or not to "reserve one" and missing the boat on this one!

My local boutique did not got a pre-production piece so haven't seen one in the flesh. In fact they claimed am the only person they know holding a ST reservation!

You may lose a lot of your Euro audience with that gag but it is funny all the same.

Are you suggesting non-US posters have not heard of a certain South East Asian conflict?:)

I am merely suggesting that it may not be at the forefront of consciousness for those of us who sat on the sidelines, or indeed weren't born in 1968 though the spate of films in the 1980s did a lot to educate the rest of the world. Full Metal Jacket springs to mind!

"Full Metal Jacket" looms large and is a great movie about the horrors of war, but I think "Born on the Fourth of July" captures the folly of the Vietnam conflict best.

Actually in my case I loved studying the Cold War during my teens at school in the UK, with special interest in the Vietnam War...the interest in the South East Asian conflict was sparked off by an aircraft magazine publication on the Vietnam conflict and development of US planes during that war.
