I'd be buying it for myself which is quite possibly better than it going to someone else who could very probably flip it.

I'll let you go the "tit for tat" route. All I'll say is that Omega should have set up something on their site for payment in full or done it as they have with the Anniversary editions where people such as myself had to put money down in order to secure the watch.

The service in the Omega Boutique was fantastic but I can't help being underwhelmed by the watch.
The brown leather is awful, it feels more like plastic than leather.
It does feel easier to wind than than standard Speedmaster and it has nice touches including the applied logo but it overall is a meh from me.

I thought I was the only one. The pressed edges seem to contribute to the plastic appearance. Though, I鈥檝e never held it to know if it actually feels like plastic or leather.

Not really sure how they could mess up the leather strap. I guess the prototype one on the strap is similar to the one offered. It鈥檚 almost like they trusted these out for order without really looking into the quality.
