Yeah...just got that email as well. Hoping to get one (to wear...not flip) if more folks drop out.

Not sure a magazine is going to scratch the itch but it was a nice gesture!

With Snoopy strap??
Yes! Even though it was quite expensive £360 for strap and clasp, I felt I could justify the expense because of the low pound and low UK price of the SPEEDY tuesday LE.

I also noticed something strange in the paper certificate (see picture} . It says power reserve 45 hours, but I thought the 1861 movement had 48 hours. Anyone that could comment? I just wound the watch up to the max and will see in two days how long the reserve had hold up.

I was also surprised by the faint omega engraved logo on the center of the hesalite crystal that can only be seen from a angle. Is this on all speedmaster crystals? 3f4f68b150f72f3e3a85be8b2d264bb1.jpg

Yes, all modern hesalite crystals have it; sapphire crystals don't.

Yes, all modern hesalite crystals have it...

Not just modern. They've been doing that since around the 1950s.

So to reply my own question about the "product description" stating 45 hour power reserve, I have now tried twice fully winding and letting it die, and I got 50-51 hours! My guess is that its a typo, as the Omega website also states "48 hours"

Nothing unusual about any manufacturer of an engineered product understating a measurable feature's value; good practice I'd suggest.
