Can we all admit for the ones with reservations...watching the value go up is awesome?
It's not proven yet though is it? So far we've just seen one website put an astronomical figure on a watch they don't even have in their possession to sell yet.
I think the only true way for us to really know is for someone to stick theirs on eBay for 99p no reserve once they have it. Then we'll see a true market valuation (which will either result in people like Watchfinder licking their lips or crying into their coffee!)
P petay993Yes but the price curve of the CK2998 was a salutory lesson in "what goes up must come down"
Only the Silver Snoopy has bucked this trend in recent years due to it's perceived collectability, the STwill need to achieve a similar level of aspirational desire to mirror the all conquering Snoopy.
Just had a telephone call from a very nice man at Omega Switzerland. My ST is on the way to my AD and should be available on.... Tuesday 😀
Looks like the first one has turned up on TZ-UK in the Friday thread. Looks like it was specially made for fans of Newcastle United or Juventus.
What is your number? Two, three or 4 digits? Where will you pick it up?
2 digits. UK.
RJ did mention in his ST FAQ page on fratellowatches that this didn't mean anything 😉
This is the first to arrive in preparation for my ST
Well, actually I find the ST much more collectable from a design perspective! It is simply one of the most beautiful Speedmasters EVER!
This is not the case with the Snoopy (only my personal view). It is certainly a nice watch as well, with some interesting details and of course the "Snoopy-Tag", but optically it has not the "Bang" of an ST!
So, true; I am also curious where the prices go with the ST in the future!
What would have happened with the Daytona Paul Newman, if it would not be optically this attractive??? 😉
