Hello all new member here.

I have the above watch and would like to get it serviced, are there any reputable and not extortionate places that anyone could recommend in the UK?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Simon Freese Watchmakers and Swiss Time Services are the recommended Omega watchmakers in the UK.

If the 3510.50 you have is fairly modern, I would not hesitate to send it directly to Omega. Good to have the Omega service paperwork if resale value is important.

If the hands and dials of your watch are Luminova, it is an Omega service.

Yes they are luminova, why would it be an Omage service?

Thanks for the recommendation will email them. Agree on the paperwork, not really looking to resell now but maybe in the future so an Omega service would be good too. All depends on cost. Hard to justify at the moment for me.

I guess because of the age of the watch. Older ones have tritium, newer ones have luminova.

Unfortunately I hear the Speedmaster Reduced movement is very difficult to service, hence it is reflected in the labour cost of servicing. So no matter where you go, it will be expensive.

Omega will charge you £630 to service that so not exactly cheap. Try Mitka or Watchguy, they do those and are a lot more reasonable. If you need any case parts or need any refinishing though, you will need to look elsewhere or bite the bullet and send it to Omega. I am not certain, but while Simon may well take this on, his specialism tends to be the older stuff so he may say no.

Watches with tritium dials and hands may be changed to Luminova hands and dials if you request service from Omega. People who want to keep their original watches do not like this.
If the dial and hands are Luminova, the hands and dial will be the same Luminova hands and dial even if they are changed by Omega.
