After 6 years of glorious ownership, I have decided that it's time to part with my Tintin.

This is a one owner watch (sourced for me from a UK AD by Darren aka. vintagespeedmasters in 2016), and comes with:

Outer shipping box
Plastic watch coffin
Tags
Cards
Big wooden box + card holder
Unworn and unsized bracelet
Original UK AD receipt

Condition: Very good, lightly used, not brand new - there are some swirl marks on the underside of the lugs from strap changes, and couple of tiny hairlines on the case back and the tops of the lugs from daily wear.

Please note, I have had to take photos through a loupe to get these to show up...

Watch is based in the UK - F2F deal preferred, with payment by bank transfer.

Asking £12,950

Please drop me a line if you'd like to make it yours.

It’s time for a bit of a change - there are some pieces I’ve owned for 5 years or more that aren’t getting west for a variety of reasons, so a fairly (for me) drastic clear out is coming of 15+ watches - that will hopefully see 1 slightly higher end watch joining the collection, along with a modern Omega that I have my eye on!

Thanks for the kind words of support my friend! 👍

I think £12,950 is a fine price for such a rare watch from such a fine member.

There, I fixed it.

I had a good look around at what’s for sale, and think I’m at the lower end of things… with some dealers asking very very very optimistic prices.

Hey gang,

I’ve responded to everyone who sent me messages, but wanted to post this here too:

International shipping is possible, we just need to talk about it, agree couriers and insurance.

I will not under declare the value on customs forms or help you to commit tax fraud… so please don’t ask.

After some dicking about yesterday/today this is still here.

Keen to get this moved along as I have an incoming.

If you’d like to buy it - please drop me a line and let’s do a deal.

No tyrekickers, time wasters or wanna be dealers.

Giving this a little nudge… if you’re looking for a Tintin this is one of the most affordable ones currently for sale and comes with everything you’d expect!

International shipping is possible, if somewhat expensive once insurance is factored in… however, with that taken into account, it’s still going to be less than the $25k that some US dealers are asking!

Drop me a line if you’d like to make it yours.

thanks!

Chris

Really too bad you don't ship outside the UK.
That Brexit hasn't made life easier if you ask me.

I’m not understanding why this is still here. This is the cheapest Tin-tin on the market by a large margin (although some others claim theirs is the cheapest).
All the proclaimed love for the tin-tin and bemoaning them being discontinued- here is your chance….put up or shut up.

I’ve had a lot of “interest” from dealers, mostly wanting to buy for under £10k so they can sell on (based on previous sale prices on their sites) for £15k plus.

I think the idea of import duties is putting some people off, but sadly I can’t do anything about those, and even with them, it’s still cheaper than most of the watches in the EU and the USA.
