Hi All, I've decided to part with a project that is finally completed in order to raise funds for the next one, you know how it goes..... So here is an Omega Speedmaster Pro MKII with the traditional black dial. This watch has been built with all new parts with the exception of the Cal. 861 which originally came from a Mark II and has been fully overhauled. The case is an original 1970's case which has been refinished to original spec with the correct sunburst pattern the the front of the case. All edges are nice and sharp. The crystal, pushers, crown, stem, case clamps, screws, dial, hands, movement ring and case back are all new. It keeps excellent time and everything works as it should as you'd expect. The only flaw I've noticed is that the hour subdial hand is perhaps a quarter width off center towards the right. I'd like to think this is about as good as it gets for one of these, the bracelet is also new and is still in it's wrapping, never opened, never fitted and perfect. With the recently announced re-edition of the Mark II perhaps we will see a rise in appreciation for this model in the future. I'd like to think so anyway, I've got loads On to the pics I've got good feedback here for the sale of a straight lug Speedmaster and history on WUS and TRF. Also 300+ on eBay. I'm an enthusiast not a dealer. Price; $2300 AUD plus paypal 3% plus I'll do everything I can to help ease any import costs. Shipping via EMS = 5-6 days to anywhere for $80. If it's any less I'll refund you the difference. Insurance not included. Any questions please ask and thanks for reading! Adam
A great daily driver! It's so refreshing to see the honesty of sellers here after mucking around the swamp.
I want one like this in the worst way. The timing is just not right, alas. Hopefully one like this will appear when my ship comes in.
Rational choice: new mark2 USD 6500 vs like NOS mark2 USD 2200, with better pedigree movement. Well done and congrats on the sales.
