Offered for sale is a reference 145.022 Speedmaster 68. The watch is an honest example of a well enjoyed timepiece. The stainless steel HF case has consistent wear throughout, most of the finishing has moderate wear but the edges are present, and it does not appear to have been polished as the lugs look full. Hippocampus is present on the correct -68 caseback although there are many fine scratches and marks. Step dial with applied metal logo is in good condition, the original lume has a nice age to it. The lume is missing from some of the markers. Watch has an older signed Omega crystal that is free from chips or cracks, there is one small mark in the crystal above the 6 o'clock subdial and there are some small marks that can be removed with polywatch or by buffing. Bezel is a correct B1 Dot over 90, dot diagonal 70 style with significant wear, but matches the case nicely and can be easily swapped for a nicer example by the buyer. The crown is an original Omega crown replaced during service, but the watch comes with it's original flat foot crown as well. Pushers are the original or were replaced during a service long ago, but function as they should. This watch has been serviced by my watchmaker approximately 10 months ago. The watch is keeping time accurately and functions as it should, chronograph resets to zero. Movement is bright and shiny and problem free. Watch will come with extract of the archives once I receive it, according to the extract, the watch was made in April of 1969 and was delivered to USA. No bracelet was mentioned in the extract. According to Speedmaster 101: "These are worth more than the much more common painted logo 145.022-69. They are very rare, and when one comes on auction there are many buyers.
