Time Exposure
·Omega Speedmaster Professional, reference 105.012-65 “Pre-Moon” model, circa 1966. Caliber 321 movement, serial number 24002180 is 801 before Neil Armstrong’s flown Speedmaster (24002981).
It is running great and keeping excellent time with a good power reserve. On the wrist during the day, then crown down overnight, the watch was 9 seconds slow after wearing it for 5 straight days - remarkable! However, the watch’s service history is unknown and it will likely benefit from a service.
Case does show signs of polishing and wear between the lugs. Overall it is in good shape, and the engraving on the caseback is clear and complete. The bezel is a replacement, with a small nick at 9. Hands were likely replaced but appear to be the same style as original (just seem very clean given the age of the watch). The chrono functions as designed: start/stop/reset to zero, and no hour-recorder “creep."
$3,280 USD includes UPSP Priority Mail shipping with insurance to an address in the United States. I am not interested in trades. Payment by bank wire.
