Hey guys, thought maybe you would enjoy seeing a project we finished for a guy in Holland. This Omega Speedmaster MKII got the whole package. Laser welded case, lapped case and caseback, one of our custom sapphire crystals, all new gaskets, new crown, pushers, and case tube.
Great work! But next time you have a Mark II for restoration, make sure to get the caseback right. It should look like this:
We have custom made sapphire mark 2 crystals for sale. I've worn one in my personal mkii for 2 years with not a single scratch on the crystal and I wear my mkii every day. I only have 3 left.
Tanner’s sapphire crystals for the MkII are terrific! I wear my MkII and don’t worry about the crystal anymore. Polywatch works great on acrylic, but not on mineral crystals like the standard MkII. Sapphire fixes the problem.
My God that's an incredible restoration. You went full-Jesus on that MKII and brought it back from the dead, amazing job!
i never liked that case shape. But now....... might need one and send straight to you for that case treatment......... excellent work ! kind regards. achim
Isn’t the tachy scale a permanently fixed (glued) part of the crystal for the Mark series? So is the black tachymeter ring custom as well?
Holy! That's some seriously good work on the case, except the case back... but I have to say the full brushed finish has its own charm. Impressive!
Wow. You dont appear to have lost much of the case bulk at all. Are your crystals much fatter than the standard Omega issue ones?
