Did anyone try a flat link bracelet on the Mk40? Like Uncle Seiko or Forstner?

I’m curious to see how it looks..

I’m so glad that I found this thread. I’m super excited with my new purchase. I love my MK40

Great watch...I went back and forth for a long time on either a Mk40 or a vintage moonwatch for my first Speedmaster. Ended up going with the moonwatch but hopefully one day I will be fortunate enough to acquire a Mk40 as well. Wear yours in good health.

I'm new to the mk40 club too! Does anyone know where I could track down a leather strap that looks close to the original?

I purchased mine on the bracelet but I like the strap better!

Fake crap.
OP wants something that "looks" like the original. Not the original. An original strap with steel buckle will cost around 300 euro new gold almost twice that. Did you read the post?

Yes. And I read yours which suggested a crappy bovine leather strap, pressed to look like croc, probably made in India and infringing copyright. Sonething which is not allowed on this site by the way. I actually bought one of these a while back to see what they are like. They are shit.

if you are here to push crap quality fake goods I suggest you try somewhere else as you aren’t welcome here.

I was simply answering a question regarding the availability of non-original straps. Being in Italy, I had seen these in our Ebay site "Ebay.it" and the seller has a 99.1% positive feedback. Italy, because of its luxury product industry, has one of the strictest enforcemnet policies regarding counterfeit products, Far stricter than the U.S. which is considered a counterfeit product enabler. So, if the seller had infringed on any copyright, I would expect that he/she would have been banned from Ebay and prosecuted.

The fact remains. You are pushing fake goods. Do you honestly think that is genuine? Are you the seller by any chance? Just drop it. It was a bad suggestion and you won’t talk anyone round.

I’ll say it again. Fakers are not welcome here.

I am not absolutely sure. Many of the luxury brands of everything, including Swiss watchmakers have parts made by subcontractors in Italy. especially leather parts. I have known many people that have relationships with these subcontractors in Italy, even family members that work in these companies, that source the same product that is also supplied to the brand owner. Panerai straps were made by a company in Empoli (near Florence) and often you see the original straps for sale at retailers near me (I am in Tuscany about 30 minutes from Empoli) at half or less of the normal price. I suspect they come from the official supplier.

I'll make it easy for you. You have no clue. So take your attitude and stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Ciao.

A lot more clue than you it seems. Don't let the door hit your arse on the way out.
