I think the OP is rather new to OF and probably meant luminescent material 馃榾

But, yes, thanks for the compliment, it looks really good, and (shameless plug) it's likely going to hit the Private Sales section very soon 馃槜

One more piece of eye candy:

So did you sell it? Would be happy to discuss purchasing your MK40! Let me know in the private messages section.

I've been looking into buying a regular Moonwatch, but I have thinner wrists and somehow I like how much there is going on in the MK40 dial. Plus the punchy accent colors of course!

There are a lot of Michael Schumacher (the German F1 driver) editions out there on Chrono24, does anyone know how they differ from the 'regular' MK40? It looks similar and looking at the photos, even the back doesn't seem to 'commemorate' Schumacher in any way.

yup... sometimes I wonder if i should have really sold mine. But it's water down the bridge now.

really cool piece and a lot more "horological" than the H10, which I still will not diss because I like it too... but not worth the asked price i think.

Good luck with the chase!

Thanks. Just in case you know: What鈥檚 up with the color of the large Arabic numbers on the dial? In some pictures they seem yellow-ish, sometimes the color is cyan or off-white. Is that related to the differences between tritium and Luminiova? And if so, which is which?

I recently purchased a 1997 MK40 and have not been able to figure out how to change the month. Is there a quickset? I was hoping not to have to bring it all the way to December manually.

Use the quick set on the date hand, and rotate that hand all the way around the dial. There is no way to quick set the month...

How does the quickset on the date hand work?

Pull the crown out to the quick set date position, and rotate it.

I鈥檝e tried that both clockwise and counterclockwise and the date does not change. I have the crown in the 2nd position.

Houston, we have a problem...you might need to see a watchmaker.

Got one too (blue sunburst dial with applied Omega logo, 39mm).

The caliber is based on the Valjoux 7751, it is a reliable workhorse and is easy to find a watchmaker to service it when there is the need.

My only complain about it is not the bracelet per se, but the clasp that feels cheap compared to other more modern bracelets (but it is correct for a 20 years old timepiece).

Very nice watch indeed. I own the "all black" model and, for me, it is "the perfect Speedmaster": you take a Moonwatch, fix all its minor perks and "ta-dahhh!" you get a triple-date.

I don't share your opinion about the clasp, though. I don't feel it cheap and it's definetely the most comfortable I own.

No, there isn't: you'll need to move it all the way to DEC.

You can adjust the weekday independently, though: is the little button on the top left side (it only works out of the "forbidden hours").
