First issue of the technical guide for the 3220 was 2004, so yes early 2000's for sure.
The change from the 1140/3 to the 3220 is mandatory when serviced at Omega, so if it was serviced there, the movement would have been swapped if it had the 1140/3 originally.
L loaswaHi Archer, that's an interesting bit of information. Can you tell the reason for the mandatory swap? Were the 1140/3 movements such bad movements that Omega does not want to service them any more? Would this swap still be made today, i.e. does Omega still have 3220 movements or would Omega simply reject servicing a watch with a 1140/3 movement? (Which would make owning a watch with a 1140/3 movement not overly desirable...)
