SOLD here is this very nice and honest Speedy Mark II with racing dial Unpolished s/s case in great vintage condition, measures 42 mm excluding the crown. Excellent dial and hands, original to this watch. The crystal was changed when I bought the watch 10 years ago The movement runs good and keeps good time. All chrono functions works properly. The watch was overhauled by my watchmaker when I bought it, but not since then. I have never worn it. It has just been laying in my collection. The bracelet fits a wrist up to 20 cm. I would like to have USD 1825, shipping, registered mail, with the Swedish post included. I and the watch are located within the EU. Feel free to return the watch on my expense, if it doesn´t match my description in text and/ or pictures, and if the deviation is material.
I want to make the following addition to above sales ad; one member has PM'd me to tell me whilst the hands might be original, they have clearly been repainted. I bought this watch 10 years ago on a pawn auction. When I bought it, it was a sock drawer specimen. I cannot recall what was done to it when I sent it to my watchmaker, other than it was overhauled and that the crystal was exchanged, since it was pretty scratched. I can't recall if the hands were repainted or not. I have no before picture to compare with, sadly. Honestly I don't think the hands were repainted in my possession, but be your own judge on that matter! IMO they look good, and that ought to be the most important thing
I clearly stated that I don't think they were repainted in my possession If you think they are repainted, it's perfectly fine for me if you say so. Myself I don't know if they are repainted. And if, it doesn't bother me
The dial on this is absoloutely killer... given how washed out and degraded the lume can get on racing dial mk2's. That plus the case... not messed with, not polished, not recut. The hands, whilst not 100% original, really are a trivial matter - they can be changed - material can't be put back on an over polished case, and original tritium dials aren't exactly 10 a penny! GLWS @marturx !
