Case and bracelet are 18k. I’m a tshirt and jeans person, my unique hobo fashion sense will immediately make any watch less blinging. I can hobolize this beauty further with a perforated racing strap - I have this all worked out in my head.

·Watch metals are a funny thing.
A vintage Cartier tank will generally be more desirable and costlier in gold than steel.
But a vintage steel Patek is generally pricier than its gold counterpart.
I think these kinds of metal price variances are becoming less reliable with modern watches. And Omega has somehow always been largely allergic to gold vs steel price reliability. IWC has a similar track record, with the watch’s metal being secondary to other desirability factors.
