bought it for nothing $20, in a vase with a bunch of Seiko quartz etc. .

That's right up there with the 99 cent Space Compax. 👍

I am willing to triple your money! 👍

Seriously, even if the dial is not correct, but other parts are, I suspect there is significant value in this piece. Hands alone, if authentic, would be a very nice return on a $20 investment. Good luck with it!

And in both cases the dial is wrong for this case reference. Many vintage omega collectors take the descriptions provided by AQ with a grain of salt - AQ has even sold fake omegas in the past.

For Sale: circa 1958 Omega Speedmaster 2915-2 watch, Broad Arrow Hands, 321 movement serial number 1599xxxx, but with wrong dial - its from a 2998. Working order, tested, idle. Asking $14,000 CAN .

These added photos are meant to focus on the crystal, there are two short 'deep' scratch, both at 10:10. Beside the outer one is a curious round hole - I cant explain. And as expected a whole series of light surface lines. Could be worn as is, appears clear under most light. Crystal has no chips or cracks. I was not able to focus on the lug ends, all four are dented from having the wrong band. Broad arrow hands are bright, but both have very minor blemish on tips. Missing are both buttons.

Thanks everyone for your input. Now I know what I have, what is referred to as Franken watch....Is there another more suitable term? She's had major plastic surgery (new face) and now prettier than ever. Good news is all parts are original Omega parts. And produced within a short couple of years. Dial is circa 1960 . Case movement and hands circa 1958.

dial is deffinitly not correct for this reference and it is very very hard to source one. It is a later 2998 dial as has been said already.
Movement number is pretty early for a -2, I would have expected an 16xxx but well, here all is possible in that range.

The sellers opinion about the price is correct. The perfect 2915-2 would go for 50k upwards.
