Perfect yes agreed. Any history or story behind these? Service dial or just a peculiar batch of original dials? Thanks!

Another tidbit I came across concerning this grey/blue/metallic collection of rare probably replacement speedmaster prototype dials.

Looks like Christie's had one they were going to sell next week, but the lot was withdrawn. Wonder what the story is there. 35-55k usd estimate. Here's the link: http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/...5833&sid=71738cef-8d95-4791-a605-cde45cbef02a

Seems like most of these grey dials were on (or ended up on) 105.003-65s or 105.012-65s

Found this one also:

45k euro asking price. Never dealt with those guys but they have a lot of interesting and I'm sure expensive Omegas for sale. Based on recent auction results there are at least a couple people in the world willing to pay 50k+ usd for an attractive metallic dial right now. Not sure if the glossy grey variants would go as high at auction. While equally rare they do not appear to be as attractive as the metallic ones, and not as different from the standard dials. I can't wait to see what my grey dial looks like if/when it arrives.

Blue soleil or sunburst dial IMO are more rare and recognizable compared to the Grey/Bluish glossy dial

Consequently, I believe that the prices must be definitely higher

But today I don't know the value of these special Speedy

Wrong case, heavily polished, replacement bezel, replacement crown, I'm guessing the pushers aren't right...and I couldn't be happier! Bought this watch almost two months ago, ended up going to Hamburg to pick it up in person (Hamburg is lovely btw). Good things can be found on Chrono24. It's a gray/glossy dial like @The Master of Speed 's. It appears to be shiny, but not metallic. Hard to tell while it's still in the case. Sorry for the crappy pics:

Thanks! When I'm back home in a couple weeks, I'll pull out the movement, snap some good photos of the dial, and put it in an appropriate Professional case, and then take some more photos

put it in an appropriate Professional case,
Appropriate case would be 105.012-63 or maybe -64.

Why do you think that is? I've seen very little about this and would love to know more if you have any info. It came with a 105.012-65 caseback, but I have very little reason to believe that was originally matched with this dial

No T's which would suggest a B1 dial from 64, so good for a 105.012 63 for sure.
That's assuming the dial has no T's, which I think is correct from the pics? but could be wrong.

Hands appear to be from a seamaster as they are short. But otherwise not bad.

They look original but the dial makes it look shorter
