·I love it, but that Au750 absolutely ruins it for me.
If it weren’t there I’d deplete the 6239 fund and put my name down.

As I watch this video, it is nice to see an CEO so passionate about watches and the watches they make. Wait, who is the CEO for Rolex now?
It is quite cool how they acknowledge the importance of the Omega community. Thereby I think its is really interesting how they continue to focus on their heritage and try to bring new products with modern technology which respect to the history. There are some (new) collectors who only collect modern Speedies. Thats a big accomplishment. From all the brands they do this on a really refreshing kind of way by really listening to the community and without being too pretentious. But oh boy it is a really thin line. If you over do it people get bored with it. Or if you don't get everything right from design, customer service, and build quality, people turn their backs to you. Glad they learned their lesson in the importance of execution. To me it seems to be quite difficult to bring each year new Speedmasters that make sense to the community and add something to the Speedmaster heritage. That is a really big challenge.
* I emailed Omega to ask to be on their ‘waitlist’ for the 50th but so far have heard nothing - can someone direct me to how & where there is a better more direct and efficient means of waitlisting?
* I’ve heard quite a bit about the Snoopy 45th Apollo 13 (311.32.42.30.04.003) - are they all sold out via Omega and now only through resellers / ebay etc?
* Finally, has anyone got any idea on timeline for a stainless steel variant of the 50th?
Get in touch with Omega Boutiques and Authorised Distributors directly and ask them if they can put you on their wait list. There is no centralised list or allocation.
Unless you were very luck, the answer is yes.
Few know for sure, but I'd suggest: announcement in the next few weeks and availability in the next few months.

Juat curious if PM is in 1014 pcs, how many would the SS be? My wild guess would be 10014 pcs or 11969 pcs.
Would Omega do this one (from “First Man”) for the stainless model or do you think this will be the one with the 321 in it at a later announcement? I am thinking they will save this for the 321 and do something else for the 50th Anniversary in steel.
I love the gold Speedy 50th Anni version released yesterday - already pulled the trigger 🙄
____ but: I'am not sure if I'am going to wear it very often ...🥰
Omega is really unpredictable. They launched four limited edition Speedmasters in Japan for Olympic Games two years away at the moment. They can end up releasing 3 anniversary editions in 2019 and then another three next year celebrating that the 50th anniversary were yesteryear 😕
