It depends on the condition of the original dial and bezel.
An 80’s speed master with service dial, hands and bezel? Meh.
An original 80’s Speedmaster with lovely yellow lume plots and nice bezel? Absolutely

I think that’s it in a nutshell. Lume on the tritium dial doesn’t look complete. As Greg suggested you’d pick up a nice tritium 3590.50 for circa €3.5k and I’d recommend that option.

So I’m going to throw out an unpopular opinion to the OP on this watch — looks like a great deal for a daily wearer Speedmaster. Will be functionally and visually almost identical to one only 5 years old. And, the old parts are a bonus. Sell them here or on eBay to someone who really wants a period correct dial and handset for their watch which has service parts and the watch will be even cheaper overall. Win win in my opinion.

But this is only if you don’t care about originality in your collection. I had a similar age Speedmaster with all service parts years ago and loved it. I foolishly sold it when I found an old, 321-powered Speedmaster with a messed up bezel, dial, and case, thinking it was better to have all original, even in poor condition. Regretted it almost immediately, especially when I had issues with keeping the 321 Speedmaster running (even after service). Always wished I’d kept that first “incorrect” Speedmaster.

Probably would have been happier.
