First time post. I'm relatively new to vintage watch restoration and potential pitfalls. Been looking for a pre-moon Omega Speedmaster, and may have found one. However, the concern is bad re-lume. I've read a couple other threads on similar topic here, and understand it's not a straightforward fix, highly dependent on age/materials/process taken. Concern is preserving tropical dial color if a solution is used to dissolve the applied lume, or if scraping method is used to remove.

Would like to get some additional feedback, especially helpful for those that may have had experience. Lastly, would appreciate input on a good watchmaker that may specialize in this. I'm in California.

Picture attached. Anything else that jumps out in the pic, appreciate feedback. Thanks in advance!

I have found that a wooden cocktail stick works well, very carefully and no scraping involved. Sometimes a light push is all that is needed. I would not recommend any solutions near a dial at all.

Give LA Watchworks a call. Beau does a great re-lume on both vintage Rolex & Omega.

Anything else? Here are a few things I see:

chrono creep
replacement hands
banged up bezel
badly 'refinished' case

I wonder what the movement looks like... This is one I would not consider unless I had a bunch of needed parts around and I could get this dirt cheap. And that assumes the movement is okay.
