Thank you very much for lots of interest for the watch. Watch was checked at Bukowskis and it is indeed a 2998-1. And watch will be auctioned in April 21st at Bukowskis Stockholm for what we were told.
Can you link it in here when it goes live, please? I’m sure plenty of us will be interested in the final sale price (there might even be a bidder or two on here 👀)

I don't know how often this is enforced, but my reading of the rules is that a seller is not permitted to post a link to an auction outside of a listing in the private sales section (although the rules specifically mention only eBay). And the OP cannot start a sales thread because he is not eligible. TBH, I think he's already gotten plenty of publicity for his sale.

But if you want to do your own research and post a link to an auction, there's no rule against that.

Ah I didn’t think about that to be fair. I’m sure we can all find it relatively easily.

Hello everyone,

I’m considering selling this Omega and would really appreciate some expert opinions first. I’m a collector, although I mainly focus on dive watches. I recently had the crystal replaced and the watch fully serviced. The bracelet was supplied by my watchmaker.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Installing an period correct dot over 90 bezel would inclease the value. Rest looks really good in my opinion.

A friend would like to buy it from me, but I don’t know what price to tell him. I see all kinds of prices on the internet…

Bukowskis sent confirmation email to my fiancee that the watch is going to be auctioned in that "Important timepieces 671" live auction at 21.4.2026.

Don't touch the watch, don't even attempt to clean it. Just leave it completely alone
Man, you sound like Nigel Tufnel!

It is good advice....don't even look at it.

Now that the watch is listed at the auction and saw pictures inside I can ”rest in peace” as I was able to gather accurate info around web and confirm my expectation correct. Thank you to those different sites and this forum for comments and help. Now all I can do is sit back and hope for the best. Not for me but the estate and the buyer.
