Omega Speedmaster 20th Anniversary Limited Edition from 1989.

This is an all original watch, it comes on the rare "holy grail" 1450 bracelet with 808 endlinks. It is engraved "APOLLO XI 1969". Includes the original wooden box that is specific to this limited edition, the white "significant moments" outer box, "first lunar landing of mankind" patch and the Velcro strap.

This watch has an interesting history in that it has lived most of its life in Australia and has seen a lot of sun. The insert has faded from black to grey. The dial has slightly faded to a chocolate brown. Both remain in perfect condition. The tritium lume plots have turned yellow. For the sake of comparison, I have included a picture of this watch next to a modern Speedmaster to show the fading.

Price reduced to £4995 GBP. I will send the package fully insured within Europe. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

I've been asked the same questions a few times so I'll summarise here:

This one has all original parts. There is a reference book called "moonwatch only" and and I checked everything.
The insert is correct, the fonts changed over the years and this is the one used in 1989. In the sales advert I put a picture of the watch next to a newer Speedmaster. Compare the font on the dial and the font on the insert and you will see the differences. Look at the word "TACHYMETRE" on the insert the font is bigger on the 1989 model, look at the dot near 70, it's in a different place.

The word "speedmaster" on the dial is written in a slightly different font on this limited edition and on certain other watches from around this era. The S and R are taller, so it's the original dial and the tritium lume on the hands matches the dial, so original hands.

In moonwatch only they mention the engraving "APOLLO XI 1969" on the side:

In the book there is a picture of the wooden box and the outer cardboard box, yes they are the correct boxes for this limited edition which adds to the value, many of them were lost. Also the NATO strap was often misplaced. They mention the rarity of the 1450 bracelet.
