Hi Guys This is my 1969 Speedy. Just serviced and now fully functional. The watch is completely original. I have a 1098/575 bracelet on it which is identical to the 1116/575. I can't find a reference to the 1098 ever being standard on the 69. Anyone shed some light on this Thanks Con
I can't help with the 1098. But MWO says the 1116/575 is correct for 145.022-68 till -71.... and my 220 is happy to sea a brother...
You 220 bezel guys walk around here like you have stars on your bellies! Just kidding, lovely 69's and very very cool 220' bezels!
Shot for the Stars. I would say it, but I'm fairly certain it would get me banned here. To the OP.... Lovely looking '69 Speedmaster. Beautiful condition and what a great year for Speedmasters. Enjoy.
They were made for a few months in 1970, after the end of the DON bezels. Once the error was realized the correct replacement bezel, with 200, was used.
I'm new to the forum. I have a Speedmaster I bought new in 1973. I am greedily absorbing everything I can about the history of the Speedmaster. I just learned of the 220 bezel; mine, of course, is the 200 type. Very interesting!
