Clearly brown dials command a premium and if it really is brown then it is probably well priced. But in my non-expert opinion the absence of a COA, and known service history the price seems a bit high. As @Dan S says if you have to look that closely then perhaps the dial is not really that brown. I bought a 145.022 from a well known forum member last year, the dial in certain lights certainly has hints of brown but I would describe it as black 馃榾

May I ask what you think is a fair price for this watch if you were buying it yourself?

I have a -69 that is also similar in regards to the dial color appearance.

I think price is fine. 6k euro = $7k usd. These bracelets and endlinks usually sell for $1500 or so, putting the watch head only at $5500 which is quite fair for condition.

In my case, it's easier to see the subtle brown tint by direct comparison.

If it is a tropical, which according to "Moonwatch Only" was more common for this particular reference, it wouldn't be "well priced", it would be as steal. However, I don't believe it is a tropical dial. The price is very fair for a watch in this condition, as I stated previously, and the lack of a COA should not be an issue. Heck, he should be able to sell the bracelet for 1.5K easily.

I am certainly not holding myself out as an expert and would be inclined to ask @Spacefruit for a view. Based on Speedmaster 101 head only is $6800 for "good" so perhaps these have gone up in price more than I realised in the last year.
I was basing my view on my purchase experience last year where I bought what I regard as a very nice example with box, COA and service for a similar price and would therefore have said that I would have expected to pay something closer to 5,300 to 5,500 Euro for a watch that probably needs a service and a little TLC on the plexi.

It looks though that I may be wrong about the current prices.
