Hi OF

Next one for sale is my birth-year Speedmaster (I hope you all suck at maths) with the matching 1171/633 bracelet. But why am I selling it? To answer this, I will quote the wise Mr. Spock:
“After a time, you may find that ‘having’ is not so pleasing a thing after all as ‘wanting.’ It is not logical, but it is often true.”

Plus, my new incoming has the same movement, but is just a tad older 😀.

It's the first time I'm offering a Speedmaster for sale, so please bear with me. If anything is omitted or misrepresented, it's not intentional. Please give me a shout through PM and I will make the corrections accordingly. I'm also happy to answer any questions are provide more pictures on request.

Terms
I'm asking CHF 4000 plus shipping. No returns unless grossly misrepresented. I'm prepared to ship worldwide but F2F would be great given the value of the watch.
Payment through Wise is preferred, or otherwise bank transfer. The watch is located in Switzerland.
I have quite a few positive reviews here, both as buyer and seller.

Specifications and condition:

Model: Omega Speedmaster Professional 145.022

Movement: Manual caliber 861. I've checked the serial number against ilovemyspeedmaster.com and consulted an experienced Speedy collector here, and the sources confirm the watch to be made in 1981. However, to be 100% sure of course an EotA would be required, which I never bothered to get. All functions work properly but I do not know the service history.

Case: C.R.S manufactored case. The case was overpolished to my taste, which is why I had Kevin Paul aka @watchcaserestorations on Instagram restore the case. IMO he's done a brilliant job restoring the sharp lines and the brushing on the sides. It looks like new.

Bezel: Correct B2 bezel with some surface scratches and color loss. It is less noticeable with the naked eye than on the pictures.

Dial and hands: Correct C3 dial with Tall & Open S. The dial and hands exhibit the typical patina of these era, i.e. dark tritium lume on the hands and greenish tritium lume on the dial. I have no reason to doubt the originality of either, but I'm not an expert.

Bracelet: A period-correct 1171 bracelet with the Omega logo in a square background and 633 end-links. It's an earlier version with the screwed links. The visual condition of the bracelet is very good with hardly any scratches on the clasp. The bracelet has some stretch, please see the pictures. I've never worn the bracelet as it's too long for my 17.5cm wrist and I could never be bothered to have it shortened.

I got a hint that OF might not be the right audience for a refinished case. Last bump with a wristshot and the bracelet mounted aaaaaand a price reduction to CHF 4000, before I pull this and list something else to raise cash.
