·Hi OF!
For Sale or Trade is a pretty good 105.012-65 …. THE Moonwatch
Not perfect, not a safe queen, but attractive (IMO) and will be a good wearable vintage Speedmaster.
The case has good lines and some original finish. It probably has seen a cape cod swipe or two, and almost 60yrs of sleeve polish, but I do not think it has ever seen a polishing wheel. The caseback has a good double bevel but years of wear have diminished the Hippocampus/Seamonster sharpness and the Speedmaster writing.
The dial is attractive IMO. A bit of lume loss here and there, you can see it in macro pictures but on the wrist it really blends and looks like good lume coverage with pleasing patina. The dial color, while not a true brown, has a great warm tone to it. It has a really nice warm coppery brown tone which you can see with a clear color difference from the bezel, especially in direct natural light.
Hands look really nice. The hands may be a vintage relume, I am not 100% sure. The dial reacts lightly to UV with a very quick fade, but no reaction on the hands which make me think they were probably redone at some point.
A good quality DON bezel and an older Omega logo’d crystal completes the package.
Watch has been serviced prior to my ownership and has vintage service pushers and a service crown. The plus with that is that it passed a recent pressure test last month.
The 321 movement has also been serviced while in my possession, a bit over 2 years ago, but has developed a chrono issue so will need service again. Watch runs and keeps good time, when the chrono runs it freezes at 13min 59seconds. My guess is a physical obstruction or a broken tooth on a gear, but that is just a hobbyist guess. No known issues when not running the chrono.
This watch passes the “looks good” test to my eyes. A service will put the chrono back in order, and your choice on sourcing vintage pushers and crown to return this to full glory or leaving them and having some level of water resistance.
With the above in consideration, this watch is priced at a buyer friendly price of $6,000 USD. It will come on the brown leather Hirsch Mariner strap shown in a couple of the photos. This price includes insured delivery in the USA. International shipping is an option for established members for additional cost. I accept Zelle and Wise and I am located in California.

Trades? Up/Down/Sideways, all considered.
Omega: I would be interested in some modern Omega; Skyfall Aqua Terra or 1948 Seamster LE are on the list of wants, others considered.
Rolex: Modern OP 36mm, vintage or modern explorer or subs, vintage Millgauss all considered.
JLC: ultra thin line, no date or moonphase
Thanks Omega Forums for the space, the new upgrades are cool (!), and as always thanks to everyone taking the time to read this post.
