Dear members,

I have received the pictures requested if the dial.

From my little knowledge I think the dial is in good condition. Am I missing or not seeing something?
I have also a question regarding the lume. Because I have no knowledge about it I don't know if it is the original one , a relume of the original one or a new one.
What are your thoughts?
Best regards

Still on sale?... 😕😕
At less than 10k, what better watch could you expect?... Correct parts, even if I'm not fan of that not homogeneous chocolate dial, killer bracelet... Where is the mistake?...

Dear sir,
That is the big question. I have submitted my offer to the seller on Friday. Still waiting a reply from him.
Hopefully he will reply to my offer soon .
Best regards

Overpolishing the case (and bracelet)…
Ok ok... You're right.
Over_polished & under_priced... 😁

Maybe that is the catch.

In my book, there is no price that could make me enjoy an overplolished watch. But maybe I am just jaded…

Gotta agree with @ndgal. I can’t help but think how great that watch probably looked a month ago.

If you buy this and subsequently get interested in vintage watches, I think the case will bother you. I can only really see it appealing to someone who wants a vintage Speedmaster and once they’ve bought it, they stop there. No further reading, or research in vintage watches, just one and done. That way they may not develop an eye for the contrast that case presents

That is exactly my dilemma. On one hand the dial is a killer and the lume is ok. On the other hand the fact that it seems to be overpolished might bother me a lot.

I’d wait. It’s not the last 105.012 CB that will come for sale.

What is that dot above the screw on the balance cock? A hole?🤔

Anyone knows what might have happened with the "special hole"??🤔

I guess you are right. The more I think about the overpolished case the more I think I should wait.
I know it is stupid but now I think I should have bought the first watch ( 105 012 66), at least it was not overpolished.

No. I have asked better pictures of the mechanism along with the dial. Only the pictures of the dial were sended.

Sorry if I sound a bit "stupid"....

But have you shown more than one watch in this thread?
The OP was a about a 105.012-65, and you wrote now about "the first watch 105 012 66"....??

Does anyone else think this dial has been relumed? The 12-hour index is the one that jumps out at me, especially the dots on either side of the index marker.

I don't think so. Some are just a little fuzzy like that. Also, why reluming the dial and not the hands then ?...

Agreed it would be strange to relume one and not the other. I'm not sure the dial has been relumed, also not an expert on reluming, but since the dots look a bit irregular in shape I figured I'd ask the question.
