Omega SMPC on NATO

Cool looking photos. I have a few NATO straps but rarely use them. However, seeing the SMPC with a Nato triggers me to try that combo out. I am currently wearing my SMPCTi on the blue rubber Omega strap and I don't like it, especially the clasp is too big.

My Speedy Pro is on a velcro at this moment, which I actually prefer over NATO when it comes to comfort.

I'm really leaning towards the classic speedmaster as my next watch purchase. Probably over a rolex sub. Which model is this one?

The current Speedmaster Pro is 3570.50, old ones of interest are the pre-moon 65-67s in particular with Cal 321, the difference with them is the Omega logo is an applied metal marker on the Cal 321s while on the later models its painted in white.

Just got this maratac black and red zulu strap. It's so comfy. Love it. Not a bad pic for a cell phone pic. Took it with my EVO 4G.

I prefer the Nato for everyday and is great option over old dried leather straps. Also I like this option since if one pin comes dislodged, the watch is still retained on band/wrist. Less chance to fall on ground.

So was there really an over 6 year gap in this thread? Is that a forum record? 馃榿

Wow....I didn't even see that. I'm relatively new and still learning how this particular forum works.

Everyone says use the search button

True, they do.

But congrats for actually doing a search where so many others have failed.

It's good to see some of the old posts resurrected too.

Man... now I miss my old SMPC 馃檨

That was my first ever Omega, its over somewhere in Northern Ireland now hopefully being taken good care of by its new owner but I loved wearing it on orange NATO or Isofrane rubber

It also appears this was one of @Robert-Jan first appearances on the forum. Pretty cool post to bring back to life.

Took me a long time to find a NATO I liked with the blue of the watch. Quite an expensive strap for what it is, but quite happy with it

Where did you find that with Omega keepers on it? I searched far and wide looking for a NATO like Sean Connery's in his Bond movies...almost all had the wrong colors. In that process I saw a lot of color combos...yours is pretty dang cool. I have a blue SMP on a leather strap from Hirsch, but wouldn't mind having that NATO of yours as an alternative. Nice find.
