My collection has changed direction, so it is time to part with my Signal Corps USA trench watch. As you can see, the watch has been well worn over the years, and a majority of the plating is gone from the case. The dial is in very good condition with the hairlines but no chips and the radium is still present. The hands are in good condition as well, and I am not sure if the hour hand is a replacement, but it is a period radium hand. The movement was just lubricated by my watchmaker and winds, sets and runs well, but will need some adjustment as it running 2 minutes fast and would probably benefit from a service. The 35mm case is in good shape, but does show wear to the plating. The lugs are bent, but do not appear to have been repaired. The lugs were soldered to the case originally, and the solder looks very clean and original. These watches are rare birds, and I would like to get $850 NET shipped in the US for the watch. Please feel free to PM me or email [email protected]. I am more than happy to discuss the watch with any interested party, as I am not expert on these older Omegas and their movements.
After speaking with a well known authority on military watches, he suggested I adjust the price, so here it is $1250...I didn't want to be part of the "Unrealistic Expectations" thread
Every time I see a FS thread pop up from you I get all excited and think you're going to part with one of your 300's. But alas I'm in a state of constant disappointment. Oh yeah GLWS...
